More matchboxes (- and some prev. stamps back in stock)

I've made some more matchboxes... Yeah, I know - not very exciting. But it's better than nothing, don't you think? I've made some cards too, but to be honest, I wasn't happy about how they turned out. But I did have a great time with my Promarkers :)
I also wanted to take the opportunity to tell you that some of my earlier stamp collections are back in stock. Maya's surprise, Maya's sled, Christmas love and Brita's cookies are some of the stamps that's been out of stock for ages. They are now available here.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Hi all

Thanks for your nice comments on my last post :) I'm still creating - but I don't have any pictures to share today. Sorry. I'll be out travelling this week, but will be back with pics some time during the weekend. I'll be visiting the north of Norway the next few days. Really looking forward to this trip :) Wishing you all a wonderful week.

She's alive!

I know... It's been ages since I last updated this blog. Actually, it's been ages since I last did anything creative at all. After we moved, I've been filling my days doing everything but scrapbooking and stamping. I've been knitting like a crazy person, painting my livingroom, getting settled in our new home, taking long walks, reading and catching up with family and old friends.

It's been like a long, long vacation. But I guess that was what I needed. Crafts should always be fun, even if you do it as a job or as a hobby. I think it all became a bit overwhelming for a while there.

But I think it is starting to become fun again. I bought a bunch of matchboxes a while back, and started to decorate them. Fun and easy, and just what I needed to get back in action. Did you notice? I'm hooked on curling old book pages... *lol*

Now I just can't wait for christmas! :)

No action at the moment

Not much cardmaking at the moment. Sorry about that. We will be moving some time during the next couple of weeks, and all my stash has been packed in neat boxes already. I will be creating again by the end of july, I hope. (I can't wait!)

I noticed some new comments on my blog candy. This candy is over, and the winner was Trine. Please see my last entry. :)

Wishing you all some wonderful summer days! I will spend my days packing, cleaning and reading some awesome books.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #46

This one is for the challenge over at Friday Sketchers' Blog. Awesome sketch by Heidi this week! Papers by October Afternoon (I just love that name! Don't you? "October Afternoon"... reminds me of homemade apple jam, dry leaves dancing on the pavements, the season's last outdoor glass of wine...)

Foxy

Just a quick update before I go to bed. I made these cards some time back, and then I completely forgot about them. Shame on me. How could I forget these cute papers and stamps by Imaginisce? The cards are quite simple to be made by me, but I actually do make clean & simple from time to time. I just rarely bother to post them on www.

I just can't wait for Easter holiday right now. I'm planning on being very, very creative! There are some challenge blogs with very tempting challenges going on.

Meet the family

Hi, again! Time to introduce ya'll to our smallest family members: Goldie and Rambo. See them swimming happily in the background? I wish I could tell you more about them, but honestly - there isn't much to tell. They just swim most of the day. Sometimes they just sort of float... One of them likes to swim upside-down, sometimes backwards, sometimes backwards and upside-down at the same time. It looks a bit weird, but I do think they are healthy. Just a wee bit weird.

The card: Whiff of Joy! again! Surprised? Coloring done with promarkers. Paper, flowers, bling and butterfly by Prima. Glimmer mist by Tattered Angels (Sapphire), silver and turquoise stickles. Rhinestones by KaiserCraft.

Thanks for visiting!

Whiff of Joy..... Again!

Some busy weeks right now. I visited my parents on the oposite side of the country last weekend. Then I had to prepare and host classes during the week, and this weekend I attended Scraporama, a large scrapbooking/stamping fair, where we (Steffens) had a stand. So much fun, but I'm completely bushed right now. I did get some shopping done, though, so there's some pretty papers waiting for me, to get back to creating again.

I've received some e-mails while I was out and about. I'll get back to all of you. Just give me a couple of days :)

Here's a new card, by the way. Another one of the oh-so-pretty Whiff of Joy motifs. Luuuuuv them!

Blue card (Friday Sketchers)

The challenge over at the Friday Sketchers Blog this week, is to make a card following the very talented Mumur's sketch. I ended up rotating the sketch 90 degrees ccw, as my motif was to tall for the sketch. I hope it's still recognizable. Papers by KaiserCraft, stamp by Whiff of Joy (again!), swirls and sentiment by Autumn Leaves. Flowers and bling by Prima. Wishing you all a wonderful sunday. :-)

Two more cards today! (WoJ)

Updating twice today! Wow... That must be a new record on this blog. Two more cards with the WoJ-stamps. I colored in a bunch of them yesterday with my Promarkers, and all I had to do today was to cut and mount them on cards. Of course, I had to make the cards first...

Pink card: Papers and bling by KaiserKraft. Stamp by Whiff of Joy.
Purple card: Paper by Daisy D's. Bling and flowers by Prima. Sentiment by Making Memories.
Thanks for visiting!! :-D

WoJ-Challenge: Lavender & Lace

I made this card for the challenge over at Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog. This week the challenge is to make a card with lavender and lace. Great challenge! I found an old paper by K&Company in my stash. I just love the colors in this paper. Melinda hugging heart is colored with Promarkers. Sentiment by Norsk Stempelblad.

Thank you all for nice comments on my last post!! Here's a new card I've made for this week's challenge over at Friday Sketchers. Great sketch by the host Kristine. Whiff of Joy is having a Guest Designer call

Whiff of Joy is having a guest designer call over at the WoJ Challenge Blog. Check it out! Katharina Frei has made a great sketch for us to use in this challenge. I had to make a card using her sketch, as I'm totally smitten by these stamps nowadays. Papers by Basic Grey (Periphery). Flowers and bling by Prima.

I wish I was a Fairy...

I've changed the look on my blog. I love polkadots, and I love this free background by TheCutestBlogOnTheBlock.com! I made a new card today. This stamp is by Crafty Individuals. Isn't it beautiful? I wish I was a fairy... I should have used the camera instead of the scanner. It has Glimmer Mist all over the flowers and leaves, but that doesn't scan well. The coloring was done using Distress Ink on glossy paper.

Finally Friday!

The weekend's here! I've got new papers, new stamps, great music playing, candles on my worktable, and a glass of red wine. I'm ready to create!

Here's a card I made some days ago. I can't stop ooooh'ing and aaaah'ing over the Whiff of Joy-stamps... I know - I've already said it - they are so adorable!!!!

Whiff of Joy

A new card with one of the adorable stamps by Whiff of Joy. They are so cute and beautiful, that I just want to buy them all. The cute paper is by October Afternoon. Scalloped shapes by Spellbinders (Nestabilities). Bling and flowers by Prima.

Thank you all for such nice comments on my last post.
Eviledna, Tim Holtz' paper distresser is what I use too. I usually ink the edge first, then i distress it with the tool. I've found that the edge won't crumble that much if it's a bit wet with ink.
Thanks a lot for the awards I sometimes receive too! I will give them on to others one of these days.

Wishing you all sunny days. And in case of bad weather, at least buy a cute umbrella.
